In 2012, the private coastal radio station 'DP07' acquired
a test license for shortwave operation with the callsign 'DAJ'
formerly used by Norddeich Radio, thus
continuing the tradition of shore-to-ship shortwave telephone
communications
Now (in 2015) shortwave is no longer used, but sea-weather reports
are still transmitted from Germany (Euskirchen) on 3985 7310
9560 Khz AM, for half an hour each at 0730 & 1200 hrs UTC
in summer, 0830 & 1300 hrs UTC in winter.
