Fort Lamy was the former name of the capital, now known as Ndjamena, and France Cables & Radio was the former french telecommunications company. That company was nationalized, and renamed 'Societe des Telecommunications Internationales du Tchad'. See the entry of STIT Ndjamena for further details.
