Emergency Network - AOEC All Austria Contest :

On the 1st of May of every year (or other special days), many austrian 'official' stations work with amateur stations in the 80m and 30m amateur bands, to be prepared for creating a fast and effective emergency network. Most of the stations are from the military, from the red cross, or from regional administrations. Those 2 amateur bands are selected, because they are officially allocoted to both amateur stations and fixed and mobile radio services, to be in full accordance with international regulations.
